This course provides students with an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a fire and emergency warden, as well as factors involved in the safe evacuation of a workplace or site in an emergency.
The Fire and Emergency Warden Duties course gives learners the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out an effective fire and emergency plan. After completion of this course you will be able to demonstrate knowledge of evacuation requirements for your workplace.
People credited with this unit standard are able to demonstrate knowledge of evacuation requirements for a particular workplace or site, and explain the duties of a Fire and Emergency Warden.
This course will give you an in-depth understanding of the duties of a Fire and Emergency Warden in accordance with the law, as well as the practical skills to effectively evacuate the workplace in event of a fire or emergency.
It is good practice to have numerous staff in your workplace who are dedicated fire emergency wardens. A warden is a trained employee who can assist other staff members (and others) in an emergency by implementing safety procedures calmly and rationally.
