Fire Warden Course Overview
Our half-day Fire Warden / Marshal qualification has been designed for anyone that is required to adopt the role of Fire Marshal/Warden in the workplace as part of a Safe System of Work and Risk Assessment.
This course has been designed to comply and meet the needs and requirements as stated within the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and covers duties and roles, fires and fire spread, evacuation and control, and general fire safety precautions and procedures.
Fire Warden / Marshal Training Course Content
Learners will develop their knowledge and skills in fire safety, to include:
Fire awareness in the workplace
Fire extinguishers in buildings and workplaces
Classes and types of fire
Safety tips when using fire extinguishers
Fire hazards and risks in the workplace
Effective fire drills
Fire alarms/smoke alarms and fixed installations
Assembly points and coordination
Fire evacuation – general principles and safety advice and plans
Fire risk assessment overview
Summary of daily, weekly and monthly Warden checks
Successful learners of the Fire Marshal training course will be awarded an Essential Site Skills Fire Warden/Marshal certificate valid for 3 years.

If the CSCS logo is not required on your NPORS card, the option to apply for the Traditional NPORS card is still available. Once the training and assessment has successfully been completed the operator will receive a 5 year traditional NPORS card, which is renewable.
This card can be endorsed with the Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) test logo, if the operator has passed the relevant HS&E test within the last two years. If they don’t have a valid HS&E test, then the card will be awarded without the HS&E logo.
Fire Safety Management Course is offered by SIPS Education. Our programme is designed to support the development of all of the competencies.
The course is intended for employees nominated as fire wardens, with the aim of ensuring they receive formal instruction on fire warden duties and have a greater understanding of all aspects of fire safety in their workplace.
This fire safety awareness course is ideal for people who are new to the workplace or need a refresher.
This course is designed for employees who have never received Fire Training or require an essential refresher. The training meets the requirements under the Fire Safety Legislation (NI) 2010.
Your employees will learn about the best ways to react to a fire and the proper method to select an appropriate extinguisher. We complete a test at the end of the course to evaluate the knowledge accumulated by attendees.
