We are an independent, privately owned, New Zealand fire protection company servicing the greater Auckland region. We specialise in hand operated fire protection services.
And related safety equipment for commercial marine and domestic use. The shop and workshop is centrally located in Westhaven, Auckland (by the Viaduct Basin).
This course is primarily for personnel whose duties involve fire and rescue response in the workplace and will also be relevant to other learners who anticipate the need to use hand-held fire extinguishers in industrial or domestic situations.
This course teaches the different types of fire classes and fire suppression techniques and how to apply safe and effective fire suppression strategies. This course can be completed in conjunction with the Fire Warden training for a full day fire safety training course.
People credited with this unit standard are able to demonstrate knowledge of evacuation requirements for a particular workplace or site, and explain the duties of a Fire and Emergency Warden.
This course is designed for anyone, from those that have never been trained to be a fire warden, to those that just need a refresher. Our in-person fire warden course take approximately 1.5 hours and is delivered at your workplace by our expert trainers.
This includes theory and practical training session with provided fire extinguishers and electronic certification valid for two years. This course complies with legislation for Health and safety in the Workplace (Worksafe 2015).
