Candidates who attend this course should not have any current medical conditions that may prevent them from being able to handle or operate portable fire extinguishers.
Due to the nature of the training course and the emphasis placed on communication, there is only a provision for the assessments to be undertaken in English. Therefore, candidates for this type of training must be able to understand and speak the English language.
This course teaches candidates how to evacuate the part of the premises they are responsible for should a fire occur. It also teaches candidates how to select and safely operate the correct portable fire extinguisher – all candidates who attend this course will receive practical training on how to use a fire extinguisher.

This course also covers the 3 hour Fire Warden course syllabus. This can be delivered in the first 3 hours of the course. You can have some people just attend the first 3 hours to be a Fire Warden and have others stay for the full day to be a Fire Marshal.
This Fire Warden course is aimed at all staff who have an additional responsibility for fire safety in the workplace. The course is a great initial entry point to delegates who have not undertaken fire safety training before.
