Who Requires this Training
Any construction or industrial site engaged in “hot work”, namely work processes that can produce a source of ignition such as a spark or open flame, must implement a hot work management program including the provision of fire watchers.
Legislation
Employers and their employees are required Fire Watch training as per the OH&S ACT: Obligations of Employers, Workers, etc. s. 2(1)-(5), Existence of Imminent Danger s. 35(1)-(2), General Protection of Workers s. 13(1)-(4), and Duties of Workers s. 14(1)-(2).
Course Benefits
This training equips participants to identify and assess hazards that can give rise to fires. Most important to the participant will be a focused discussion on specific efforts they can introduce in their workplaces to prevent the potential for fires and related explosions and when necessary, the steps needed to respond to fires and explosions.

This program is approximately 3 hours and was designed to give students an introduction to fire hazard awareness and to provide an introduction to fire extinguishment with handheld fire extinguishers.
YSafety will provide a qualified NFPA (Firefighter) instructor to lead your team through the Fire Extinguisher course and will ensure your company has the skills necessary to save lives and property from fire.
With the objective of contributing to the safety of your building, we offer training that includes real fire tests. Thus, your employees will become familiar with the use of the fire extinguisher.
Fire Extinguisher training is offered by Canadian Safety Group. Knowing which fire extinguisher to grab when a fire occurs helps employees ensure that property loss is kept to a minimum. In doing so, they also ensure their own safety.
This course will equip the participant with the tools necessary to teach the basic theory of fire extinguishers. Each participant will get hands-on practical experience with the four basic types of class B fires.
