Our shooting range is located within a residential area, therefore we do not offer 24 hour access to the range. Shotguns, centerfire rifle and magnum ammunition are not permitted.
The club was organized in 1929 under the name of the “Waterloo County Fish and Game Protective Association” and then Incorporated under the present name “Pioneer Sportsmen Club” on March 16 1946 with a registered Charter containing the By-Laws of the club or association.

Safety Services Nova Scotia is proud to offer firearms safety and hunter training, including the Canadian Non-Restricted Firearms Safety Course (CFSC), the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course (CRFSC) as well as the Hunter Education Course.
Individuals who wish to acquire restricted firearms must take the full classroom delivery of the CFSC (above) and successfully complete the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course (CRFSC)
The non-restricted firearms safety course (CFSC) is made up of lectures and hands on practical training in the safe handling of non-restricted firearms (typically shotguns and rifles used for hunting and target shooting).
