The club  was organized in 1929 under the name of the “Waterloo County Fish and Game Protective Association” and then Incorporated under the present name “Pioneer Sportsmen Club” on March 16 1946 with a registered Charter containing the By-Laws of the club or association.

The purpose and objects of the club is to promote interest in and advocate legislation towards Conservation in all of its phases. Also to promote interest in and provide.

Facilities for Archery, Handgun and Rifle shooting, Camping, Hiking, Conservation projects and other similar activities and to encourage and promote good sportsmanship.
