Firearm Training Centre (FTC) was established, by Vaughn Williams, in 2018 to meet the self-protection needs of the niche South African market that identified the need, amongst the violent turmoil in the country, to be able to defend their lives and those of their loved ones.
FTC has since expanded to include aspects of sport’s shooting for both adult and youth enthusiasts.
FTC also specialises in the training of female shooters who may be apprehensive over the prospect of owning a firearm, but acknowledge the need to have one.
Firearm training is offered by Wildealskloof Shooting Range. Knowledge of the Firearms Control Act 60 of 2000, Basic Handle and Use a Handgun, Self-loading Rifle, Shotgun, Manual Operated Rifle. All these unit standards are as required for a competency certificate to possess a firearm.
We offer various courses ranging from the Knowledge of the Firearms Control Act - Act 60/2000 applicable to firearm ownership, Basic Handgun, Basic Self-Loading Rifle/Carbine, Basic Manually Operated Rifle/Carbine and Basic Shotgun courses.
Firearms training is offered by OHS Extreme. OHS Extreme opens a new concept where we now do total project safety management including special event safety management.
Basic Fire Extinguisher Handling training is offered by Newcastle Hoists And Engineering Services.Newcastle Hoists & Engineering Services (SA)(PTY)(LTD) together with an accredited training authority now offers a wide variety of training.
Firearms Safety training is offered by The Edge Shooting Academy.“The Edge” is an Elite Training provider and is registered with SASSETA and SAPFTC. We offer unit standard based training as well as specialized training programs.
