After successful completion of this course you will receive a Statement of Attainment – partial 11029NAT – Course in Firearms and Weapons Safety (approved for firearms licensing in Queensland) for Categories A, & B.

Pre-Course Requirements:
There are no pre-course requirements for this course – however all students must be over the age of 11 and able to provide evidence of age and written permission from their legal guardian / parent. Minimum Identification Requirements for Children: (1) Birth Certificate/Passport, (2) Photograph of Child and (3) Medicare card with both names indicated on the same card.

From CPP20212 - Certificate II in Security Operations; CPP30411 - Certificate III in Security Operations, Crowd Controller Refresher/Revalidation training to additional courses such as Baton & Handcuffs, Bodyguard and Armed Guard courses. Children aged 8 to 10 will receive a non-accredited certificate and children aged 11 up will receive an accredited statement of attainment after successful completion. We do offer discounted rates on our First Aid training for children, pensioners and group classes.

If you would like to try pistol shooting, whether it is for a “one off” time or you are interested in joining a club, the Hume Pistol Club conducts training sessions known as a P650 Safety Course.
Firearms Safety Courses are conducted to determine the competency of applicants for Firearms Licences, and will assist you to meet the requirements for obtaining a Firearms Licence in Tasmania. Training can be undertaken across firearms categories A, B, C, D and H.
