This class, taught by certified license & insured instructor jim moesch, fulfills the requirement of a firearm safety class to obtain a florida ccw permit. here’s what you can expect:
Following the classroom session, students will proceed to the range for a live fire qualification to demonstrate basic proficiency. upon successful completion of the class, you will be given a certificate of completion, which must be submitted with your ccw application in order to obtain your permit.
We’ll provide an informational packet explaining the application process, which will help you through the process faster, and potentially get you your concealed carry permit in a matter of weeks.
The course fee is $247.00 and includes hearing and eye protection, your gun rental, your range fee, and ammunition. no live ammunition is permitted in the classroom. the entire course lasts approximately two hours.

Jim’s interest in firearms started when he was a young boy. His father, Jim Sr., was an avid shooter and a correctional officer with the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Jim Sr. was a mountain of a man with big shoes to fill. But Jim. Jr. was determined to do so!
At the age of 19, Jim became a correctional officer with the State of Florida Department of Corrections. Within two years, he was able to join ranks with his father at the Bureau of Prisons. Then the world changed forever on September 11th, 2001.
Wanting to make a difference, Jim became one of the Elites of the Federal Air Marshal Service. Trained by the best, he became a quiet professional, patrolling the skies and protecting the flying public from criminal and terrorist violence.
Later on, he continued to add to his experience by entering the world of nuclear security. With a focus on firearms training, Jim excelled at his job while protecting the public from acts of radiological sabotage.
Jim founded Miami Gun Training following his excellent record of service in order to pass on what he has learned to the public — and he’s earned a sterling reputation so far! In addition to Miami Gun Training maintaining a five-star rating on Google, law enforcement and security professionals throughout.
Florida utilize Jim’s skills as an instructor to train their officers in the fields of physical security, use of force, intermediate and non-lethal weapons, firearms training and qualification, weapons and explosives detection, and AHA Basic Life Support.
What Jim finds most rewarding is training members of the public to become responsible gun-carrying citizens through obtaining their concealed carry permits. Jim has trained countless individuals and helped them acquire their Florida CCW permits through countless classes, which he offers daily for convenient scheduling.

This is the class required by North Carolina to obtain the Concealed Carry Handgun Permit. You will learn the laws for carrying concealed handguns and review shooting fundamentals including grip, stance and sight alignment.
In this intensive course you will learn the fundamentals of defensive shooting, how to prepare for the fight and how to carry with confidence. Our Basic Handgun Course is a prerequisite.
