The current TDG laws have been with us for over 30 years. Over that time, the training component has stayed very consistent. Well, that is all about to change!
Last year, the Canadian General Standards Board created a new standard - CAN/CGSB-192.3-2020: Transportation of dangerous goods training, assessment and competency. This new standard radically changes how TDG training should be done.
Transport Canada has now stated they will adopt the new standard into law, requiring employers to create new documents and upgrade the way they train anyone involved in TDG.
The (CRFSC) is made up of lectures and hands on practical training in the  safe handling of restricted firearms (typically handguns). Prohibited firearms are discussed but no actual prohibited firearms will be used  during the practical training portion.
The Canadian Non-Restricted Safety Course (CFSC) and the Canadian Restricted Safety Course (CRFSC) are designed to apply to the broadest possible spectrum of novice firearm users.
Looking to legally possess a firearm in Canada? The first step is obtaining a valid Possession and Acquisition License (PAL). Enroll in our comprehensive PAL Firearms Certification Course to ensure you meet all the necessary requirements to become a responsible firearm owner.
This is a one day course designed to train candidates to conduct a safe and informal firing line for the local gun club. It is a generic program for use with sport shooters who are not in a specific discipline.
Our Firearms Safety Course combines both non-restricted (CFSC/PAL) and restricted (CRFSC/RPAL) programs into one economical, efficient, student-friendly course which is perfect for absolute beginners as well as people with some experience.
