You will be required to display knowledge and proficiency of deadly force issues by passing a written test. You will also be required
to display shooting proficiency by firing a minimum of ten rounds (5 at 5 yards and 5 at 10 yards) for qualification.
In the planning and design of Desert Ridge Music Academy, the owners based their business ideas to go against two flaws in the traditional lesson experience. First, lessons aren’t always enough.

If you are from or visiting the San Diego area and would like professional firearms training you can sign up for a group or private class. Our firearms training facility is in north San Diego county but we have other ranges that we use all over San Diego.
I have all the supplies you need to get certified!! I provide pistols, ammo, ear plugs, safety glasses, and targets!! I teach with .22 caliber handguns. What that means is no huge pistols or "Dirty Harry" hand cannons.
This class is for students who have taken the Basic Pistol Class or have extensive knowledge of how to correctly operate a handgun by exhibiting proper safety, knowing how the firearm functions, and how to shoot the firearm – demonstrating appropriate shooting fundamentals.
This course will cover (fight/flight/freeze), these challenging scenarios put participants in realistic, but uncomfortable situations that force them to think on their feet.
