Parentwood Baby and Family Wellness Centre is situated against the beautiful background of Rietondale Park. We offer comprehensive care to families from the time that they fall pregnant through their children’s early childhood years.
Parentwood was started in 2013 by registered nurse and clinic sister Kristel Steyn-Battheu. The practice was started as a second branch of Netcare Femina Hospital’s Stork’s Nest Clinic.
The birth of Parentwood provided us with the much-needed space to assist more mothers with their well-baby visits, and to host our support groups, courses and workshops.
First Aid is the first and immediate assistance given to any person suffering from either a minor or serious illness or injury, with care provided to preserve life, prevent the condition from worsening, or to promote recovery.
This unit standard is for persons required to assess the emergency situation and providing basic Life Support and basic First Aid in order to stabilize patients
First Aid training is offered by Transvaal Training Northwest. All our courses to be outcomes based and continuously upgraded to ensure that the maximum amount of knowledge and skills are transferred to the learner.
First Aid training is offered by Ngozidhlamini Training Centre. Our training is not just a bunch of manuals to take home but learners are encouraged and assisted with visual and practical knowledge in every course.
The Department of Labour requires the appointment of first aiders where more than 10 workers are employed at a workplace. The employer is required to provide first aid training
