About the First Aid at Work course
This FAIB approved Aid course elevates the training, enabling you or your team to proficiently administer First Aid for a broader spectrum of conditions.
This comprehensive First Aid course applies to staff across all sectors. However, its primary focus is on businesses dealing with heightened risks, such as those in construction, manufacturing, chemical plants or sectors with a large footfall.
It equips participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to foster a secure working environment in the presence of increased hazards and to effectively address a wider array of medical conditions.
Upon completion of this First Aid course, you will have passed the following units:
Recognition and management of illness and injury in the workplace
Understand the role and responsibilities of a First Aider
Manage an unresponsive casualty
Recognise and assist a choking casualty
Manage a casualty with external bleeding
Manage a casualty who is in shock
Administer First Aid to a casualty with various injuries
Administer First Aid to a casualty with burns and scalds
Administer First Aid to a casualty with an eye injury
Administer First Aid to a casualty with sudden poisoning
Administer First Aid to a casualty with anaphylaxis
Provide First Aid to a casualty with suspected major and minor illness

Assessment
Candidates are assessed by an FAIB approved trainer continuously with a practical skills and theory test on the third day by an FAIB independent assessor.
