About First Aid at Work
This is a high quality, intensive course that provides learners with the set of practical skills needed to respond to a range of first aid emergencies.
Once candidates have completed the course, they will receive a certificate. This means they can become the designated first aider of their workplace. This course is under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
Course Length
Our 3-day First Aid at Work course is 18 hours long, spread across 3 days. Our courses are structured to allow breaks for learners to eat and rest.
Certificate Validity
The First Aid at Work training certificate lasts 36 months (3 years). Before expiry, you’ll need to re-enrol to receive a new certificate. It’s also highly recommended that you take annual refresher courses.

Treatment of unconsciousness, shock, bleeding, fractures, burns and scalds.
How to use first aid kits and dressings.

What is a first aider?
First aiders and emergency first aiders are the two types of first-aiders as set out by the Health and Safety Executive. They are an assigned member of staff that has undergone some level of first aid training.

An emergency first aider’s role is to maintain life and prevent a situation from worsening while waiting for the emergency services to arrive. This first aid at work course is typically seen as an entry-level course.
