First Aid at Work Course (Initial)

First aid cover is a legal requirement for all workplaces. The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require employers to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities, and personnel to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. This first aid course is especially suited for nominated first aiders in medium or large, high-risk working environments, such as construction sites.

Our 3-day First Aid at Work course gives learners the vital skills necessary to diagnose and treat injuries or illness, with an emphasis on dealing with life-threatening situations until professional help arrives.

AEDs in the workplace are becoming more commonplace within dental practices. With around 13% of workplace deaths being due to the victim suffering from a cardiac arrest, it is surprising how few businesses provide this vital life-saving piece of equipment. • Dealing with an Unconscious Casualty
• CPR only (cardiopulmonary resuscitation)
• CPR & AED (defibrillator) use
• Heart Attacks

• Control of Bleeding
• Bandaging

• Burns
• Head Injuries
• Eye Injuries
• Sprains
• Shock

On successful completion of the first aid at work course, each delegate will receive a certificate which will be valid for 3 years. We strongly recommend annual refresher training.
