Course Content: first aid equipment & accident reporting / how to prevent cross infection / managing an incident / priorities of first aid / adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) / child and infant cardiopulmonary resuscitation (optional) / defibrillation / treatment of choking adult (child and infant optional) / treatment of unconscious casualty including seizure / treatment of wounds and bleeding / treatment for shock / treatment for minor injuries (including small cuts, grazes, splinters and bruises) / recognition and treatment of heart attack, stroke, epilepsy, diabetes & asthma / chest injuries / eye injuries / burns and scalds / poisoning / anaphylaxis / dealing with injuries to bones, muscles & joints / dealing with head & suspected spinal injuries
