There is 28 day leeway after the expiry date to complete the requalification however during that time, the individual is not a qualified first aider. The re-qualification covers all the topics included in the first aid at work programme together with any updates in best practice and knowledge.
As with the full course, candidates are assessed continuously on their knowledge and skills with practical assessments throughout the course. The certificate lasts for three years from the date of course completion.
