Our First Aid course follows the HSE guidelines (Level 2 Emergency First Aid at Work) and has been tailored to meet the needs of any therapist. It is the minimum required for professional membership of the Sports Massage Association and the ISRM. This training is suitable for students with no previous First Aid knowledge, as well as those needing to renew a First Aid qualification.
On successful completion of this one day course the student will receive a Certificate of Attendance.

This course is suitable for anyone wishing to gain a First Aid qualification, but is an ideal follow-on course for students who have completed the BTEC Diploma in Soft Tissue Therapy or for any therapist or sports coach.

OSSM is a specialist school with a 16 year history of delivering high quality soft tissue therapy courses accredited by the ISRM (Institute for Soft Tissue Therapists).
Our 10 month BTEC Level 5 Professional Diploma in Soft Tissue Therapy enables our students to gain the skills required to set up their own independent practices, providing soft tissue therapy and sports massage to a wide range of clients.
We enjoy working with students of all abilities and experience and, as a family run business, we take pride in offering a personal and friendly approach to all our students.
In addition to the diploma course we offer introductory massage weekends and a number of CPD workshops, details of which can be found on our Courses page.
To give delegates the necessary skills and knowledge to be able to assist the qualified first aider in the event of a workplace emergency. In some cases it may be appropriate for this person to provide short-term cover for the qualified first aider if they were absent without prior warning.
Validated by Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance (HABC), an OFQUAL regulated awarding organisation, this qualification is required by any first aider who has an existing First Aid at Work certificate which is due to expire.
