Our First Aid course follows the HSE guidelines (Level 2 Emergency First Aid at Work) and has been tailored to meet the needs of any therapist. It is the minimum required for professional membership of the Sports Massage Association and the ISRM. This training is suitable for students with no previous First Aid knowledge, as well as those needing to renew a First Aid qualification.
On successful completion of this one day course the student will receive a Certificate of Attendance.

Assessment of the unconscious or non-breathing casualty
CPR and the treatment of head and spinal injuries
Immediate management of:
Seizures
Bleeding and shock
Fainting
The course will be mainly practical so that students get first-hand experience of dealing with simulated injuries in a safe environment.

This course is suitable for anyone wishing to gain a First Aid qualification, but is an ideal follow-on course for students who have completed the BTEC Diploma in Soft Tissue Therapy or for any therapist or sports coach.
