This is a one-day (8-hour) emergency first aid and CPR, level C course that is certified by the Heart and Stoke foundation.
Participants will learn adult, child and infant CPR (cardio pulmonary resuscitation), how to use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) as well as how to administer an EpiPen in cases of anaphylactic shock.
The course will also cover how to deal with a choking victim as well as common medical situations and trauma.Upon successful completion, candidates receive a certification electronic card from the Heart and Stroke Foundation which is valid for 3 years.
This course is open to the general public at a cost of $110.00 and $90.00 for students, staff and faculty members of Concordia.Courses begin at 08:30 and finish at 16:30.

Our Standard First Aid & CPR Recertification course is designed for award holders to renew their certificate and keep their certifications up to date.
In this one-day course, students will learn to activate Emergency Medical Services, provide assistance to an adult, child, or infant whose heart has stopped or who is choking, learn to recognize the signs and symptoms of a stroke, and learn 2-rescuer CPR.
