The course targets all lay responders such as parents, caregivers, guardians, domestic workers, or family members of a child at high risk for sudden death, and other laypersons wanting to learn first aid essentials for children.
Syllabus:
The course provides hands-on practice in the skills of first aid for children in the home, including accident prevention, medical emergencies, trauma injuries, environmental emergencies, CPR, choking and the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs).
A 20-page student workbook is provided to each participant for review before, during and after the course.

Basic First Aid Courses are offered by Eskilz Private FET College.
The course equips learners with the basic principles of assessing an emergency situation, contacting the emergency services as quickly as possible and while awaiting their arrival, candidates will be able to perform basic skills required to sustain life.
This training programme will enable learners to assess an emergency situation and provide basic life support and basic first aid in order to stabilize patients prior to transfer to the emergency services.
First Aid training is offered by Transvaal Training Northwest. All our courses to be outcomes based and continuously upgraded to ensure that the maximum amount of knowledge and skills are transferred to the learner.
The Family & Friends CPR Course teaches the lifesaving skills of adult Hands-Only® CPR, child CPR with breaths, adult and child AED use, infant CPR and relief of choking in an adult, child or infant
