Course Details

First Aid for Life is an award winning fully regulated and Ofqual Approved First Aid Training provider with specialist expertise in training pre and post registration pharmacists.

The GPhC performance standard C2.10 states that trainees should be able to demonstrate awareness* of emergency first aid. This training should ideally be maintained for all Pharmacists and additional specialist training received for those responsible for vaccinations.

Our fully regulated EFAW courses cover everything needed in order to comply with the mandatory First Aid training requirements. We also offer short Basic Life Support and Anaphylaxis training to support pharmacists responsible for vaccination.

Individuals can join one of our scheduled courses in London, or group courses can be booked throughout the UK.

*by successfully completing a training course by a recognised training provider and the recommended training is the one day EFAW

By the end of the course you will have learnt:

  • Prioritising injuries and action in an emergency.
  • How to provide immediate medical care in an emergency.
  • How to assess if someone is unconscious, whether or not they are breathing and how and when to put them into the recovery position or start CPR.
  • We will cover common accidents and injuries relevant to your industry and empower you with the skills and confidence to provide an immediate and appropriate first aid response.
  • Baby first aid and Child First Aid are included and we will always tailor the course to the requirements of your work.
