First Aid Training

First Aid Training course is offered by Omega Technical Institution. This is a comprehensive certification course which covers all the essential aspects of the Occupational First Aid requirements.

It is designed for providing a quality learning experience, offering practical knowledge which builds confidence in first aiders to perform the relevant actions and techniques in a real life situation.

On completion of this course, the deligates will:

• Be able to do a primary survey on a potential casualty.
• Know how to take vitals (pulse, breathing, etc) signs.
• Learn how to deal with blood injuries.
• Know how to recognise the different types of wounds and know how to treat them.
• Learn how to treat shock and how to do the recovery position.
• Be able to treat patients who have fractured (broken) bones as well as deal effectively with casualties who have sprains, strains and dislocations.
• Learn how to treat major and minor burns as well as the many different causes of burns.
• Treat a patient who has been electrocuted.
