Approximately 4 hours of practical, hands-on training that is fully customizable to meet company specific requirements. Extra requirements may extend course length.
Participants must be at least 16 years of age for OH&S compliance.
The objectives and outcomes for this course are:
Training workers with no prior knowledge or experience in flagging
Identifying flagging procedures and practices, clothing and equipment
Proper communication with the worksites and the public
To teach the importance of the flag person’s location and the flag station
Identifying and outlining the responsibilities of the flag person
Andrea
Andrea is passionate about health and safety, with strong experience in various Health, Safety and Environmental roles. Paired with holding Red Seal Journeyman Construction Electrician certification, her background stems from working with Pulp and Paper Mills, Electrical Contracting, Powerline Construction and Maintenance, Hydro-Excavation, Directional Drilling and Boring, Heavy Duty Mechanics, Welding Shops, and Modular Structure Construction and Installation. Andrea understands working at a field level and within safety management, which has allowed adaptability within organizations.
Sean
Holding dual ticketed Red Seal Journeyman Certification in both Welding and Industrial Mechanics. Sean has a high level of experience in Fabrication, Construction, and Plant Maintenance within Welding Shops, OSB Mills, Lumber Mills, Potash Mines and Uranium Mines, in both field and supervisory level positions. Sean knows the important role that health and safety plays in the workplace, and brings a realistic approach to implementing health and safety training and safety management systems into the workplace.
Compulsory for supervisors and workers who enter or work in confined spaces. This course covers regulations, hazard identification, risk assessment, atmospheric monitoring, rescue procedures CSA Standards and due diligence.
The course is designed for anyone who may be required to use respiratory protective equipment. The training has been designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge to safely and effectively use this equipment.
In Saskatchewan, we classify confined spaces into two categories, hazardous and non-hazardous
EHS Zone provides a variety of Occupational Health and Safety courses for workers and supervisors. The training sessions are held at our location in Vaughan, ON and also in different training centers around the GTA. We also offer customized training sessions at customer sites.
This one-day course includes Confined Space Entry and is designed for workers who are required to be on standby for rescue purposes. If you have someone entering a confined space, you must have people monitoring and on standby in the event that a rescue is required.
