Our technical courses and Apprenticeships will help you develop essential employability skills by involving you in challenging projects, practical work experience with employers and the chance to enter regional and national competitions, all supported by training in our industry-standard facilities from lecturers who are experts in their particular field.
We’re here to support you with your next step, whether it’s leaving school to get a technical or professional qualification, getting a job or going into business on your own, looking for promotion or a career change, or moving on to higher study or a degree.
Your trial lessons and all previous experience from unfinished courses will count towards your Private Pilot's Licence requirements. Stars Fly Flying School is fully equipped to take you through the PPL syllabus and beyond.
Learning to fly helicopters is the world’s best kept secret! The Private Pilot’s Licence, or PPL(H), grants you a licence to fly recreationally, but not for hire or reward (so you can take your friends and family flying as long as you’re not getting paid to fly).
You will learn the basics of handling aircraft both on the ground and in the air. You will navigate and fly from our base airfield to another airfield and land there for a short break. With another briefing you will fly back via a different route.
The Private Pilot License is a combination of practical flight training and theoretical knowledge. Under the guidance and supervision of our experienced instructors we will take you through the minimum 45 flying hours set by the Civil Aviation Authority.
The PPL course offers you the training and experience you need to obtain an extendable licence. At Leicestershire Aero Club, all of our training is approved by the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
