Years Of Flying!
The Regina Flying Club (RFC) emerged during the post WWI flying boom. In 1927 (the same year Charles Lindbergh made his historic trans-Atlantic solo flight), the RFC first began operations with two DeHavilland Moths in the fleet.
Following construction of a new hangar (now the Government of Saskatchewan hangar), the RFC flight school began! Training new pilots and boasting a membership of 128 aviation enthusiasts. Dual instruction cost $15 per hour and $10 per solo hour. Among the early rules of the club, was the requirement for all solo flights to be conducted within three miles of the aerodrome and any cross country flights required explicit permission from the board of directors.
This license will allow the holder to fly a single-engine aircraft or ultra-light aircraft as captain, during the day in VFR conditions in Canada with passengers.
This course is designed for the career oriented individual with a focus on advanced training and a seamless course outline.
Flight training is conducted year round, 7 days per week, from our main facility in Bolton, Ontario.
Imagine taking the controls firmly in your hands, accelerating down the runway with confidence knowing the sky is the limit—quite literally! Once you have your recreational pilot’s license, friends and family will be lining up to take to the open skies with you.
The Private Pilot License is also the first step toward obtaining a commercial pilot license and becoming an airline pilot.
