Traditional driver education hasn’t evolved in decades. We believe that our roads would be so much safer if drivers had the right perspective and approach to operating a 3,000+ lb missile. Most can understand the basics, green means go, red means stop etc.
Our defensive driving course takes a different approach; instead of teaching teens things they already know, we focus on the mental aspect of driving. The thoughtful side of driving is something that traditional programs have fallen short on.
How can we manage our attention? How does attitude affect our ability to drive? This course dives into these topics in detail and students that complete this course will have a new perspective of what is expected of them on the road, and how to become a predictive driver, not just a reactive driver.
Teen Defensive Driving Course outline:
In Person Defensive Driving Class
For parents and students that would prefer an in person classroom course, this would be the right choice. Grouped in the same class session with our adult students, this option provides a diverse range of student perspectives that greatly benefit our teen students. The 4 hour course does include 30 minutes of recess/break time.
All Florida Safety Institute (AFSI), a Driver License Testing School, opened in North East Florida in 2016 to give residents in the state a better understanding of driving rules, requirements, and techniques that will make our roads safer for everyone. Being taught by professional, state-certified instructors can deliver that extra peace of mind knowing you or your teen can safely, securely and confidently navigate our nation’s roadways.
Our mission is to significantly reduce the mortality of teens and adults as drivers, passengers and pedestrians in auto related incidents across the state of Florida through driving safety awareness initiatives, driver training programs, and reinforcement of defensive and predicative driving techniques.
This course should be considered by proactive employers to enhance their safety culture by engaging their employees in safe driving practices. Students will learn how to anticipate driving instances, avoid common driving distractions, and improve their awareness of the dangers of driving.
This course is approved by the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security for use by Courts that adjudicate traffic citations and is approved for Tennessee's Driver Improvement -Point Reduction program.

After completing this course not only, drivers will understand the differences between driving a van and driving a car, describe effective driving preparation strategies, conduct pre- and post-trip inspections, select safe and appropriate van driving techniques, and identify procedures to safety.
