The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene has been designed as a first level course incorporating fundamental food hygiene knowledge for all food handlers. This one day course focuses on good practice and procedures.
The programme covers a defined syllabus and is assessed by a short objective test consisting of 30 multi-choice questions. Computer tests are available to ensure that candidates with learning difficulties or disabilities can also access the training and achieve success.
Who is the Course for?
Employees with little or no prior knowledge of current Food Hygiene legislation who require a nationally recognised certificate.
All staff who handle food should receive training as per the requirements of the Food Safety Act 1990.The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health recommends Refresher Training every three years
