The purpose of this course is to introduce you to the concept of food safety and the Food Safety System Certification ISO 22000:2018 /FSSC 22000 V5.1 / FSMS Standard and to provide you with knowledge and understanding of how to develop the documentation.
This training looks at the specific requirements needed to implement and maintain a food safety management system based on an international standard, ISO 22000.
Food Safety is everyone’s responsibility and everyone’s business. This workshop is intended for senior and middle management (R638) or staff new to food safety management requiring an overview of legislation, prerequisite programmes and the concept of Food Safety Culture.
A Certificate of Successful Completion shall be issued for those attaining the minimum grade criteria. SHEM Criteria requires a minimum passing grade of 70 %. Examination papers which score 67% to 71% percent shall be re-graded by a second facilitator/assessor.
Understand the requirements of ISO 22000:2018. Communicate any changes in FSMS specific requirements arising because of transitioning from ISO 22000:2005 to ISO 22000:2018. Understand the PDCA Approach.
