Course Details

Our online forklift operator training course will not only make your business more efficient and safe, it’s also a legal requirement in BC. This is a one day online certification course includes theory training, written theory exam and a practical evaluation portion. 

Participants will receive in-depth and extensive instruction on all applicable regulations, safe lift truck operations and hands-on practical training. Upon successful completion of this program all participants will receive signed documentation which will verify they are certified operators in BC. 

This Lift Truck (Fork Lift) training program has been developed in accordance with WorkSafeBC OHSR Regulation and the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Standard B335-15, Industrial Lift Truck Operator Training.
 

?This online Forklift operator training course is a Canada-Compliant CSA approved course for fork lifts. I-CAB Recognized. WorkSafeBC regulations require that all forklift operators must be trained and certified in the safe operation on these units. 

Certificate of completion is valid for 3 years. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to receive a certificate of completion. Participants are able to repeat the course three times in efforts to achieve the pass mark.

 

This course was written to comply with the requirements for theory training as outlined in:

  • CSA Standard B335-15 (R2020)
  • ANSI Standard B56.1
  • OSHA 1910.178

  • Guidelines for parking a lift truck
  • Safe methods for picking up, moving, and deploying loads
  • Procedures for surviving incidents
  • Safe procedures for fueling gasoline and diesel powered lift trucks
  • Safe procedures for replacing liquid petroleum tanks
  • The proper methods for changing, charging, and adding water to industrial batteries
