The course provides entry-level forklift operators with both classroom and machine training hours. A Certificate of Training and pocket card is issued upon successful completion of our OSHA certified training program. Graduates may get job placement assistance (when available) for finding work as a forklift operator.
OSHA Safety Regulations
Classroom training on personal safety, machine safety and work area safety. Covers your rights under federal law for a safe workplace.
Controls
Locate, identify and describe forklift operator controls, switches and gauges including warning levels.
Maintenance
Locate, identify and describe functions of forklift engine, steering and braking.
Inspections
Complete walk-around and pre-shift safety inspections of the forklift.
Stick-Time Training
Forklift equipment start-ups and shut-downs, brake tests and basic operating procedures in various practical applications.
Mock Job Site
Operate forklift equipment in a mock worksite environment. Perform various procedures and maneuvers required in actual employment situations.
Start a new career by learning to operate and maintain heavy equipment. The OSHA-certified training program at our HEO school in Raleigh provides classroom and hands-on training with a focus on safety. Graduates are ready to enter the job market as a heavy equipment operator immediately upon completion.
Graduates who successfully complete our heavy equipment training courses may receive job placement assistance. We can't make promises but we will help to line up jobs (when available) for students once training is complete.
In the OSHA ergonomics training course, students will learn about the importance and application of ergonomics in the workplace. We will cover the proper use of tools, equipment, and machine controls; proper lifting techniques, and proper ways to move between tasks.
