The goal of this course is to help you understand what a forklift operator responsibilities are and how to manage those responsibilities to protect your health and safety and your co-workers.
This Forklift Operator course will also establish an understanding of the statutory requirements of the federal COHS, Provincial and Territorial OH&S legislations.
We will achieve this through discussion, by participating in skills practice. This course will provide the participant with the necessary knowledge regarding:
Forklift Features & Safety Equipment.
Stability, Capacity Plate.
Pre-Operational Inspection.
Pedestrians.
Start-up, Shut-down.
Travelling, with and without a load.
Load Handling.
Ramps & Grades.
Workplace Specific Hazards.
Refueling & Recharging.
