Classroom Session Topics:
Occupational Safety and Health Act
Components of a forklift (Lift Truck)
Design characteristics of a forklift
Safety equipment
Battery power and forklifts
Operating controls
Data plates and decals
Proper handling of fuels
How to handle emergencies
Handling loads
Fundamentals of forklift operation
Practical Session:
Review and conduct an "Operators' Daily Pre-Shift Inspection" checklist.
Operating Evaluation based on good and safe operating techniques.
Further Course Information:
Once the course is successfully completed, Province Wide Safety Training Ltd will issue a diploma and wallet sized certificate to the operator on behalf of your company to be signed by the employer.
This course covers all Class of Forklift from I to VII (Including electric pallet jacks and rough terrain forklifts)
Forklift Operator testing will be done on the equipment used at your workplace, this is required by Manitoba Workplace Safety & Health in order for your operators to properly be trained and certified for your company.
Minimum class size is 4 for onsite training, or we can add your employees to a list for the next available course.
Certification is valid for 3 years.
