Forklift Safety Training

This training is designed with the initiative to increase the awareness of forklift truck drivers on aspects pertaining to personal safety, surrounding people, and properties while operating the vehicle.

A forklift truck is considered a highly powered vehicle that is designed with many of its characteristics to arrange, lift, and transfer goods, most of which are heavy, costly, and dangerous.

Forklift truck drivers, neglecting safety regulations and safe working procedures while having less mental preparation, have been recognized as the main cause of accidents that result in injuries, loss of life, and loss of property.

This training is designed with the initiative to increase the awareness of forklift truck drivers on aspects pertaining to personal safety, surrounding people, and their properties while operating the vehicle. This module will also indirectly increase the skill, competency, and mental preparation of the forklift truck drivers.

Lastly, the good record and skills of a trained forklift truck driver will be most valuable to the company and his future career.

Learning Objective

By the end of the training, participants would be able to:

• Identify cause and effect of accident and be sensitive about safety

• Identify character and the functions of forklift truck components

• To carry out daily inspection, safety, performance and preventive maintenance to reduce forklift truck repair cost

• To train forklift truck drivers become more cautious, safe and efficient

At the the end of this program,, participants will be more responsive to safe operating procedures to ensure their safety, the the people around them, and their their properties are safe. It will also enable them to identify and avoid risk by operating the forklift truck safely and beinging free from accidents.

Methodology

Training session includes classroom lecture, exercises, group work and discussion.

Target Participants

Forklift truck -regular drivers (male / female), and occasional drivers, lorry cum forklift Truck drivers, warehouse supervisors, maintenance crew members, production workers (occasional truck drivers).
