This course aims to give candidates the necessary skills and knowledge to plan, prepare and operate a forklift safely and efficiently in accordance with the National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work.
On completion of this course candidates will be able to conduct routine checks; plan work; check controls, operate, shift various load types and shut down a forklift truck.
Pre-Requisite
Licence applicants must be 18 years of age and be physically capable of performing forklift activities. A basic level of English and a basic understanding of mathematics will also be required.

 This course provides training in the safe operation of a boom-type elevating work platform (boom length 11 metres or more), involving the operation of a telescoping, hinged or articulated device to support a platform to elevate workers, equipment and materials.
The unit consists of a theoretical assessment to be completed, practical observations witnessed by a qualified assessor, followed by the completion of job safety management documentation relating to the practical skills performed.
