Foundation Certificate Accounting (Level 2)

Are you interested in a career in accounting? Do you like working with figures? If so, then this level 2 course is suitable for you. The AAT Level 2 course is the first level of the AAT Technician qualification.

Gaining an accountancy qualification with the AAT will open doors to a variety of careers within accounting and finance. It will demonstrate to potential employers that you have the practical skills and business knowledge necessary to work in a financial environment. It will also provide you with a professionally recognised and highly respected accounting qualification.

What will I learn?

You will study a variety of modules such as basics of accounting, which includes double-entry bookkeeping, balancing off ledger accounts, preparing a trial balance, and how to code and present financial information for management use. You will also develop an understanding of working within an accounting environment along with the use of computers in accounting.

The course consists of the following five units:

• Introduction to bookkeeping
• Principles of bookkeeping control
• Principles of costing
• Business environment.
