  • Explain the mechanism of action of injectable fillers.

  • Recall the reticulation process associated with hyaluronic acid fillers.

  • Differentiate between the classes of injectable fillers with respect to viscosity, gel hardness, degree of cross linking, extrusion force, concentration, G Prime and duration of presence in the skin.

  • Identify danger zones within the face and the associated potential complications that can arise with injectable HA fillers.

  • Design post-treatment plans and follow-up requirements for patients that are aligned with established protocols.

  • Appropriately select the correct filler (differing in viscosities etc.) to achieve the targeted outcome.

The two-day practical training is a deep dive into the core of aesthetic interventions.

Practical Training Day 1: Botulinum Toxins

You'll immerse yourself in neuromodulator injections. These include frontalis, glabellar, orbicularis oculi, orbicularis oris, nasalis, mentalis, depressor anguli oris, LLSAN, masseter & more.

By the end of this session, participants will be equipped to identify specific facial muscles, landmark the face accurately, determine the correct unit range for each treatment area, and master the nuances of neuromodulator injection techniques.

Practical Training Day 2: Dermal Hyaluronic Acid Fillers

Is an exhaustive exploration of dermal hyaluronic acid fillers, with a focus on needle techniques in areas including the cheeks, lips, and chin.

By the culmination of this day, medical professionals will be adept at differentiating male and female anatomical landmarks, identifying facial fat pads and danger zones, and determining optimal injection sites.

Beyond these practical skills, students will gain a robust understanding of filler viscosities and how to select the right filler to achieve the desired outcome.IIAM's Foundations of Aesthetic Medicine course isn't merely an introduction to aesthetic medicine.
