It develops initial skills and knowledge to work safely with the main food ingredients using basic preparation techniques and cookery methods, as part of a team.
Practical learning will be in a local marae with possible master classes in EIT’s commercial production kitchens.
As a graduate of this programme you could go on to higher level catering and hospitality programmes.

Scholars Training Restaurant and On The Terrace Café is an integral part of the Culinary Arts and Restaurant programmes at EIT. Scholars is open to the public for lunches and dinners during the teaching semester providing cooking and waiting students with practical experience in a real and professional setting.
