We are a group of teachers passionate about helping people to learn languages. We started this language school in 2015, out of a desire to empower you to communicate with people of different nationalities. Our courses are informal, with no exams or qualifications attached. We use the communicative approach to help you to learn a language effectively and to have fun while doing it.
Our Courses
We run classroom courses (in Southampton and Winchester, UK) and courses online. All courses are 12 weeks in duration and happen three times per year (January, April and September). Courses take place on Monday-Thursday evenings, once per week. Prices start from £140 for a 12-week course.
Our qualified and experienced teachers will set linguistic targets to help you achieve your goals. They are friendly and excellent. The venues are chosen to be comfortable and inviting. The classes are small (6-12 students). Communication is the focus but all skills are learnt and practised: reading, listening, speaking and writing as well as grammar and pronunciation tuition.
Why learn another language?
Speaking someone else’s native language helps us to communicate and make friends, as well as helping us to learn about other cultures, enhancing personal development and business opportunities. Our brains are dynamic structures, changing in response to new experiences. Learning a language as an adult can delay cognitive decline even more than being bilingual during our youth.
Our brains actually grow when we learn a language and that speaking it fluently gives us better memories. Learning a new language is hard, but never impossible. It requires motivation and should be treated as a logic puzzle that is a fun and creative long-term investment as well as a gateway to broadening our horizons.
Parents across Europe are encouraging their children to learn another language from an early age. They send them to language academies at the weekend, after the school day or bring in a tutor and they learn French. How many language academies/after schools clubs exist here.
