The Alliance Française organizes its teaching on the most modern teaching methods and on the CEFR (the Common European Framework for Languages), a standard reference adopted by dozens of educational systems worldwide.Due to inflation, the prices of specialized adult courses have increased. But the prices of general courses remain the same.
Intensive summer weeks - adults
The intensive summer weeks are an opportunity for adults beginners to learn the basics of French during two weeks. Designed for beginners A1.1.1 and A1.2.1, these online classes are a great way to immerse yourself in the French language and the francophone culture. These programs provide a structured and intensive approach to learning French that can help you improve your language skills quickly..
During these intensive summer weeks, you will participate to a range of activities that are designed to help you improve your speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. We will start with the basics and guide you through the language step-by-step in a friendly and supportive learning environment to help you feel at ease.

Corporate French classes offered by the Alliance française of Edmonton cover all the aspects of business French, from common formulas to specific vocabulary. If you are trading with Quebec, France or any other French-speaking country, command of the French language is the key to your team’s success.
Founded in 1947, the Alliance Française of Edmonton is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of the French language and culture.
Our courses are organized in 5 sessions throughout the year, from September to June + 1 Summer session.
Each session you get 8 weeks of class to ensure an appropriated pace and the best learning (Summer may vary).
Early-bird discount are valid until a week before the start of the session, so the earlier you register, the better!
Sessions are usually open for registration 4 to 6 weeks before they begin.

Group classes
Membership:
All students are required to be members of the Alliance Française of Edmonton in order to enroll in classes. The membership fee will be added on top of the tuition costs. Membership is refundable when withdrawal is accepted (see withdrawal conditions).
Payment:
Students are requested to pay full tuition and the membership (upon first registration, or renewal if expired) prior to them joining the class.
The cost of books and membership is separate from tuition fee.
Payment can me made by cash, cheque, debit or credit card (Visa/Mastercard) at the main office, over the phone, or on our website. A $25 surcharge will be levied on all checks returned to AFE with insufficient funds, and payment will then have to be made by cash or debit/credit card.

We offer a variety of courses for all levels and ages. Our classes are purposely kept small (max. 10 students) to ensure a personalized, student -centered, experience. Our instructors are all fully qualified to teach french as a second or additional language.
