Our Mission
Making language learning fun is the key to success, no matter who the learner is, therefore this is our priority. We provide an engaging approach, tailored to each learner and this way we can reach our goal of making French and Spanish fun for everyone.
As per government guidance, we are currently allowed face-to-face classes. We will, however, consider each class individually, according to what is preferred by the client, as well as what is considered safe and appropriate for our clients and teachers. We will continue to regularly review this policy in-line with government guidance. Please get in touch should you have any questions.
The French Level 1 course is suitable for learners with some prior experience of the language, for example anyone who completed the French Beginners Plus course here at the Folk House, or those who have learned French for a couple of years and are ready to move on from the basics.
In addition to being a beautifully-sounding language, French can be a great investment if you plan to live abroad, want to make new friends, discover a fascinating culture, or travel to French-speaking countries with ease.

All language courses focus on communication skills through task-based learning, with a particular emphasis on listening and speaking.
We have 5 groups according to the age of the children. We try as much as possible to follow the French program while adapting to our mainly English-speaking audience (for the most part).
