The French Level 1 course is suitable for learners with some prior experience of the language, for example anyone who completed the French Beginners Plus course here at the Folk House, or those who have learned French for a couple of years and are ready to move on from the basics.

Language Class offers the French Beginner Course for students with no previous experience, a complete beginner’s course.
By the end of this course, students should be able to understand familiar words and everyday expressions and read and write simple sentences and statements in the present tense, including in basic interrogative and negative forms.
