The Language Academy of the Carolinas, Inc. began in March of 2004 with one Spanish class at my parent’s dining room table in Huntersville, NC. The classes continued to grow so much that I had to find a space to rent before my parents threw me out of their house.
Our first office was a small, two-classroom building on Old Statesville Road in Huntersville. We quickly outgrew that space before moving to our permanent location in University City where we began to offer other languages in addition to Spanish.
In order to serve more people in Charlotte, we then partnered with the Levine Jewish Community Center in South Charlotte and later established another proper office in the Plaza Midwood neighborhood.
To ensure maximum progress in minimum time, all classes are taught by highly qualified and trained native speaking professionals.
WWL offers face to face and remote language courses. Language research tells us that no matter the age, all of us learn our second (or third or fourth!) language the same way we learn our first language.
Students in the Beginner French Immersion Program will be able to conduct a simple conversation in French after only 10 lessons. Basic vocabulary and structure of language. Learn French! We offer fun, interactive classes and private lessons for adults. Other than complete beginners, it is necessary to evaluate all new or returning students in order to place them in the correct level. Evaluations are free, brief (5 to 10 minutes), painless and without obligation.
