French Classes

Did you know that there are almost 8 million French speakers in Canada? Although approximately 85% of them live in Quebec, there are over a million who reside in other parts of the country, which means if you live in Canada, you probably come into contact with the language on a daily basis.

Our courses are designed to suit your needs for every day use or students enhancement. Our qualified and expert teachers are dedicated to making you interact, communicate and work in groups during class.

Trent offers a major in French Studies, and you may choose to enter this program if you have the equivalent of Grade 12 4U/M French from an Ontario secondary school. In doing so, students will deepen their knowledge of the general culture of Montreal and Canada in terms of history, cultural and political life; will approach and experience new aspects of the English-speaking and/or French-speaking community through immersive linguistic and cultural experiences.
