We are proud to welcome up to 500 students during each term, who all learn French through our communicative approach.All our teachers are native speakers who are qualified to teach French as a Foreign Language.
Every new student who is not a complete beginner is assessed before enrolling (a free and friendly meeting with a teacher), in order to establish their level so that they are assigned to the right class.
Alliance Française Glasgow is part of a worldwide network and is one of eleven AF currently located in the United Kingdom. Run by a Board of Directors, it is located in Glasgow’s Park Circus, under the same roof as the Goethe-Institut since 2004, a world first.
A local not-for-profit organization, it reflects the desire to share with others the love of the French language and culture, as well as other various aspects of the French way of life.
We offer regular courses for adults and children of all levels and ages, private tuition to suit your needs, tailor-made courses for schools, companies, and businesses as well as online courses. Our teachers are all native French speakers qualified to teach French as a foreign language.
We are also an official examination centre for personal or professional French exams such as the Test d’Evaluation du Français (TEF) or the Diplôme d’Etudes/Approfondi en Langue Française (DELF/DALF).
Our teaching activities are complemented by various cultural and social events such as the Cafés, the Ciné-Club, wine tastings, exhibitions, etc.
Our modern multimedia library also offers a wide selection of items in French (DVDs, books, CDs) as well as learning materials for all levels. It is open to all for a small annual fee.
French is not only spoken around the world on all five continents, but it is also the official language of international organizations such as the European Union, NATO, the United Nations, and its agencies, etc.
The Account Manager will stay attentive during the French course. Any questions that come up can be made to them at any time, and progress will be monitored at regular intervals. If the learner’s HR or L&D department managers require any sort of particular details or progress information.
The Introduction to French Speaking course is suitable to anyone who wants to learn to speak French and will teach you the basics of the French language.

In lingual courses you will develop your french language four skills of learning (speaking, reading, listening, and writing) and also cross-cultural communication skills, being able to effectively interact with native speakers in real-world situations.
