Our students and members are given access to our resource center, as well as our digital library. Finally, all of our programs comply with the guidelines of the Common European Framework of References for language.
Founded in 1903, Alliance Française Halifax (AFH) is a Canadian not-for-profit association dedicated to the promotion of the French language and French-speaking cultures. Our association is part of the Alliance Française Foundation, the world’s largest network of French language schools and cultural centers.
Located in the historical Hydrostone district of Halifax, our center is one of nine Alliances Françaises present in Canada. Nationwide, the French Alliance network provides training to over 12 000 students annually, and our Halifax location is considered the best French as a second language (FSL) school in the province.

Using the Magic-Languages curriculum and methodology, our monthly French online language program provides everything needed to allow your children to immerse themselves in the French language at least 3 times a week. We believe that consistency is the key to learning a new language.
