We have some non-native teachers too, and they all have one thing in common – fluent French and a desire to teach it.If you are already fluent in speaking English, learning French is fairly easy due to the sheer number of words derived from the French vocabulary.
For example, did you know that approximately 3 out of every 10 English words are thought to have French origins? These include ‘souvenir’, ‘bouquet’ and ‘omelette’ – words you all know well!

We started small in 1997 and now we have over 300 teachers. We provide flexible one-to-one and small group tuition in students’ homes, workplaces, online or other mutually convenient locations.

All our language classes are centered around our students and have been designed to develop practical language skills. Each course will run from September to May. Each week you will attend a two-hour class to help progress and consolidate your learning around the four core skills of listening.
The Chataway French for Beginners language course is suitable for people who do not know any French but would either like to learn the basics before they go to France or wish to start learning the language.
The Introduction to French Speaking course is suitable to anyone who wants to learn to speak French and will teach you the basics of the French language.
