Fundamentals of General Practice Nursing

Using the Practice Nurse Competency Framework (PNCF©) as a resource tool, and the experts at Staffordshire University, this module aims to assess and implement high quality care for patients, the recognition of when higher levels of care are needed, and the referral of patients when the level of care is beyond your professional competence.

During this module, the provision of a holistic, multi-professional approach to meeting the needs of a diverse patient group will be covered, and your competency will be measured through a document assessed by a suitable qualified mentor within the students own general practice and development of a critically reflective portfolio.
