In this fast-paced creative program, you will learn all the major aspects of game development. What makes a game compelling and fun to play, visual theory and aesthetics when it comes to creating art, and how to build games from the ground up using industry standard programming practices. All these subjects are taught with industry standard software, processes, and theory by instructors with years of industry experience.
During the program you’ll also work under time and creative constraints within groups to make your very own games by applying the design, art, and technical knowledge that you’ve learned. Every project and game that you create can be used as a portfolio piece to get your dream job in the games industry.
CEA classes are student-focused and hands-on. Going beyond the fundamentals and theoretical examples, you will work on countless personal or team-based projects, and experience what it's like to work in the industry.

The Game Development and Design program at VCAD focuses on providing graduates with the solid foundation in the technical and artistic skills they need to become a part of this growing industry.
At this level, students will learn how to use Unity3D, modern game development software used by corporate and independent studio developers.
