About the course
Ever wonder how games are made? Do you want to learn the tricks of the trade to make entertaining and appealing experiences for gamers? This two-year Level 3 course is suitable for school-leavers and adults with the focus on developing the technical and creative know-how to create games.
You can expect a course that offers a broad range of practical study, using great facilities with industry-standard equipment. Tutors have games and media industry experience and are highly skilled with software, this includes a Certified 3ds Max Professional.
You’ll learn techniques that plug you straight into the industry from the design of a game through to app development, ranging from digital production techniques and creative disciplines.
What are the entry requirements?
You will need five GCSEs at Grade C or 4 and above including English GCSE and maths GCSE. An equivalent full Level 2 Diploma at merit grade with GCSE English and GCSE maths (Grade C or 4 and above) will also be considered.
Where can I progress next?
On successful completion of this course you could find entry-level employment in games design, games development, animation or 3D design. This is a growing industry and there are plenty of employment opportunities. Most of our students progress to a higher education course at university.
